Hi, I’m Rachel
I photograph natural landscapes in the Sutherland Shire and occasionally surrounding areas in Sydney and NSW.
These inspiring photographs help you enjoy the beautiful environment we live in. They are designed to be relaxing and uplifting.
From these images I want you to experience and enjoy the outdoors too. It’s too good to miss.

What else do I like?
I love to photograph (obviously), love interior decorating, being organised, exercising, love the idea of being sugar-free (don’t reckon I’ll ever commit to that one though). I am married to Matt, have 2 young children and adore them all… but hate 5pm every single day.
My Journey so Far
In my early photographic journey, from a young age I played around with cameras and dark rooms. I then formally studied photography and I worked with a wedding & portrait photographer. Before I had finished school, I was already working towards becoming a travel and landscape photographer.
In 2009, Matt and I began photographing Natural Landscapes and weddings together. We loved working together, however, it was really the weddings that took off for a long time. I enjoyed photographing weddings. It was in this time that I really learned how to use my equipment back-to-front and make decisions quickly. There was always room for pushing creativity and composition too. However, I was always torn between weddings, and then photographing those gorgeous sunrises. In August 2015, I photographed my last wedding. I couldn’t do both anymore, and I knew what I wanted to do.
We have had help along the way, through studies and courses. We also have found a wonderful lab, Created For Life. They have been an abundant source of help over recent years. Ken Duncan, who I have learned a great deal from, also really encouraged me to photograph my local area, and to not spread myself far & wide… that would come eventually. That’s when I gave real thought to The Sutherland Shire and know I can get incredible shots in my backyard.
I photograph natural landscapes because…
I love it. But also because the natural Creation reminds me that God has a hand on everything. Life can be fun, but it can also be crazily busy and often hard. I have recently been reminded how powerful photography can be. I am learning along the way, but I hope through my photos, you might see how incredible our Great Designer is, and that He is also cares for all things.
The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I lack.
He lets me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside quiet waters.
He renews my life
